Carrie Underwood Going To Australia

Carrie Underwood has booked her first ever headline shows in Australia as part of “The Blown Away Tour.”

The country superstar’s world tour takes its name from her fourth studio album. Blown Away was released in the U.S. and Canada May 1 and in Australia May 4. A special U.K. edition is due out June 18.

After playing a sold-out gig at London’s Royal Albert Hall June 21, the international portion of the tour continues with Underwood’s first show in Australia June 26 in St. Kilda at the Palais Theatre.

Underwood will also play Tamworth’s Regional Entertainment and Conference Center June 29 and the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre June 30. The Australian journey concludes with a July 2 show at the Concert Hall at Sydney Opera House.

Last week the singer announced the fall leg of the tour will feature 54 arena shows in the U.S. and Canada, beginning Sept. 14 in Manchester, N.H., at the Verizon Wireless Arena. North American dates are scheduled through a Dec. 22 show in Sunrise, Fla., at the BankAtlantic Center.

Tickets for the Australian gigs go on sale to the general public May 14. A presale for the St. Kilda show begins May 9.
