Shakira In Talks With Live Nation?

Shakira, who signed an agreement with Live Nation in 2008, is reportedly upping her salary with a recording element said to be in the range of $30 million to $60 million.

Shakira originally signed between $70 million and $100 million for a deal encompassing touring, recording, sponsorships and merch. However, in 2008 she had three more records under contract with Epic – one English, one Spanish and a compilation.

Now Live Nation is about to negotiate another deal for Shakira’s new albums, to be distributed through Sony, according to the New York Post. LN and the record company would split sales, according to sources. Some insiders said the deal is worth less.

In December, Live Nation signed a deal with Universal Music Group to distribute Madonna’s latest, MDNA. That album had less than stellar sales.

A Live Nation representative said the company has no deal to announce at this time.
