The Los Angeles event is the second H2O Music Festival to be announced. Organizers announced information for the first festival in April, saying it would take place in Dallas at the Cotton Bowl June 9 and that the lineup would include Juanes, Snoop Dogg, Gym Class Heroes, Weezer, Paulina Rubion and Damian Marley.

Presented by Univision Radio, primary sponsors for the Los Angeles H2O Music Festival are liquid water enhancer MiO and Chevron.

The festival will also feature a few up-and-comers. For weeks Chevron has been urging Univision Radio listeners to upload their demo video or MP3 files to the “Chevron Brings Your Band To The Stage” section of the H2O Music Festival website. Univision’s listeners began voting May 14.

As in Dallas, the plan calls for Univision DJs to keep the vibe going between acts.

“Univision Radio is proud to bring the H2O movement to the Los Angeles area,” Univision Radio’s VP of Sales Jack Hobbs said in a statement. “With this festival series we are bringing the new Latino generation we serve, the Hispanic 2.0 listener, together for their universal love of music.”
