Van Halen fans throughout North America saw their summer plans crash and burn last week when the band postponed its summer leg.

Why are tour plans in flux? That depends on who you talk to. While speaking to reporters last week, former VH frontman Sammy Hagar said brothers Eddie and Alex are “hard people to get along with,” and expressed surprise that “it took this long” before trouble flared.

Now Roth has made a video assuring fans that Van Halen is taking a break so it can avoid turning into the dreaded “Robot Zombie Tour.” In the video, Roth says the “band is getting along famously, better than we have in quite some time.”  Roth also says the band will tour for up to two years.
