Mumford & Sons Are ‘Gentlemen Of The Road’

The British folk-rockers announce four U.S. dates, promising the events will be more like festivals than your typical headlining stops.

Called “Gentlemen Of the Road Stopovers,” the shows are described as combining “the intimacy of a community celebration with the excitement of a world-class music festival. That means a musical lineup curated by Mumford & Sons along with vendors, merch and a series of events unique to each concert site and featuring local businesses, venues and residents. Be sure to look for after-show parties held in local bars after the main event.

Here’s the plan with Mumford & Sons headlining every date.

Aug. 4 – Portland, Maine, Eastern Promenade; St. Vincent, Dawes, The Maccabees, Apache Relay, Simone Felice, and Haim

Aug. 11 – Bristol, Tenn., off State Street (downtown); Dawes, Jeff The Brotherhood, The Very Best, Justin Townes Earle, Apache Relay, Simone Felice, and Haim

Aug. 18 – Dixon, Ill., Page Park; Gogol Bordello, Dawes, Abigail Washburn, The Very Best, Apache Relay, and Haim

Aug. 25 – Monterey, Calif., Monterey Fairgrounds; Gogol Bordello, The Very Best, Grouplove, Two Gallants, Apache Relay, and Haim
