Doobie Brothers & More For B.R. Cohn Charity Events
Of course the Doobie Brothers will once again take the stage at their manager Bruce Cohn’s charity festival. The 2012 lineup also includes Buddy Guy and Kenny Loggins.
Along with two nights of music, the 26th edition of the B.R. Cohn Charity Events Fall Music Festival includes a charity auction dinner and a celebrity golf tournament. The music festival and charity auction dinner take place at the B.R. Cohn Winery in Glen Allen, Calif., and the golf tournament is held at the Sonoma Golf Club.
The festivities begin with the charity auction and dinner Oct. 5 at the B.R. Cohn Winery’s 140-year-old Olive Grove. The five-course meal will be prepared by some of Sonoma Valley’s best chefs including Jeffrey Lloyd of the Michelin rated Café LaHaye, Peter J. Smith of The Lodge at Sonoma, Ari Weiswasser of the Glen Ellen Star, Sondra Bernstein and John Toulze of the Girl and the Fig, Carlo Cavallo of Sonoma Meritage, and Scott Howard of Scott Howard Events. Tickets are $200.

The concerts are set for Oct. 6-7 at the B.R. Cohn Winery Amphitheatre.
The Doobie Brothers and The Turtles perform both days. Buddy Guy also plays Saturday, Oct. 6 along with Lara Johnston and Scars On 45. More acts will be announced. Sunday, Oct. 7 features Kenny Loggins, Eric Burdon And The Animals, Dave Mason, Tyrone Wells and Pat Simmons Jr.
This year’s festival will honor the memory of Doobie Brother Michael Hossack by renaming the olive grove stage after the late drummer, who died this year. Fairhaven, Bob Schnieder and Pat Simmons Jr. are the first acts lined up for the Michael J. Hossack Memorial Stage.

Tickets for the fall music festival go on sale June 1 at brcohn.com or at the B.R. Cohn Winery Tasting Room. General admission tickets have been reduced to $85. On-stage VIP seats will once again be available including a meet & greet with performers and food and wine. VIP tickets are priced between $350 to $1,000.
Proceeds from the festival benefit several charities including Sonoma Valley Education Foundation, Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance, Redwood Empire Food Bank, The Guardsmen, Operation Homefront and American Legion Post 489.
