Word of Elton’s health situation came from his civil partner David Furnish. Speaking to reporters in London, Furnish said the mega-star is “doing incredibly well and recovering,” according to the BBC.

Furnish also said Elton is still planning to take part in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert along with Paul McCartney, Kylie Minogue, Cliff Richard and Shirley Bassey.

As if Furnish’s word isn’t enough, Elton’s spokesman said: “It’s nothing more than a chest infection – you rest and it’s better. Everything that’s planned is still happening.”

But the June 4 celebration of Queen Elizabeth’s three decades on the throne isn’t Elton’s first upcoming date. That will be this Friday when he performs in Wetzlar, Germany, at the Hessentag festival June 1. A U.K. run begins June 3 when he plays the Taunton, England, at the County Cricket Ground June 3.

Elton returns to North America in September, beginning with a gig in Sarnia, Ontario, at RBC Centre Sept. 7.
