Kansas In The Fall

Word from the Kansas camp is the band wants to return to a “more traditional tour approach” for the fall outing now that the band has successfully completed its popular Collegiate Symphony Tour.

But you don’t have to wait until the fall to hear such classics as “Dust In The Wind” and “Carry On Wayward Son.” The band has a few dates scattered through the summer, including the Northern Wisconsin State Fair in Chippewa Falls July 13; the Northeast Missouri Fair in Kirksville July 17 and the Ohio State Fair in Columbus Aug. 1.

Here’s the rundown:

Sept. 13 – New York City, N.Y., Best Buy Theater
Sept. 14 – Bethlehem, Pa., Sands Bethlehem Event Center
Sept. 15 – Atlantic City, N.J., Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa / Music Box
Sept. 21 – Saint Charles, Ill., Arcada Theatre
Sept. 22 – Saint Paul, Minn., Myth
Oct. 5 – Salina, Kan., The Stiefel Theatre For Perf. Arts
Oct. 6 – Kansas City, Mo., Uptown Theater
Oct. 12 – Montgomery, Ala., Mainstage@ Alabama National Fairgrounds (“Alabama National Fair”)
Oct. 14 – Dallas, Texas, Fair Park (“State Fair Of Texas”)
Oct. 19 – Little Rock, Ark., Arkansas State Fair Complex (“Arkansas State Fair”)

Expect more shows to be added.

While appearing on most dates, King’s X and That 1 Guy have not been confirmed for all shows and it’s best to check with your local venue for more information.

“We are really looking forward to the upcoming shows with King’s X,” Kansas guitar slinger Richard Williams said. “They’re a great band and a force to be reckoned with. It’s a tour like this that allows us to dig a little bit deeper into our catalogue and play a few songs that Kansas fans haven’t heard for a while. It’s gonna be a lot of fun!”
