Robyn ‘Body Talk’ DJ Shows
The “Robyn & Rokk Present Body Talk” shows, as well as Robyn’s trio of 2010 Body Talk albums are named after Rokk’s London club nights. Although this is the first time Robyn and Rokk are taking the concept on tour, Robyn has already proved she can work the turntables. The Swedish electro-pop star previously guest DJ-ed at Rokk’s “Body Talk” in addition to co-running the Tutti Frutti night in Stockholm.
Whether fans dance on their own or together at the club shows, Robyn and Rokk promise to create “a fun, unpretentious setting for like-minded people regardless of sexuality or race,” with a set list packed with late ‘80s and early ‘90s house/pop hits and current dance music.
The “Body Talk” shows begin at the home of Rokk’s club nights at London’s Dalston Superstore June 4, followed by June 9 in Manchester, U.K., at 2022NQ.
The next stops are scheduled as after parties to Robyn’s support dates with Coldplay.
After opening for Coldplay at Miami’s AmericanAirlines Arena June 29, Robyn ends the night with a “Body Talk” gig at Miami’s Grand Central.
On July 5 Robyn starts the night with Coldplay at Philadephia’s Wells Fargo Center and then joins up with Rokk for “Body Talk” at Philadelphia’s Voyeur.
Robyn has two shows with Coldplay in Washington, D.C., at Verizon Center July 8-9 and two “Body Talk” gigs at DC’s U Street Music Hall July 7-8.
