Members of The Walkmen have plenty to shout about. The band’s new album, Heaven, dropped this week on Fat Possum Records and the indie rockers are celebrating the release with a show at NYC’s Bowery Ballroom June 6.

The stream comes to you via Spotify and will be filmed by “Take Away Show” creators La Blogotheque.

As to the album, Walkmen singer Hamilton Leithauser indicated that the band has grown since it cobbled together songs for its first release – Everybody Who Pretended To Like Me Is Gone – a decade ago.

“The detachment you can feel throughout our younger records is gone,” Leithauser said. “We felt like it was time to make a bigger, more generous statement.

Let’s talk tickets. Already, 150 tickets have been dished out via a promotion with New York City independent music retailer Other Music which bundled a ticket with each of the first 150 purchases of Heaven.

The remaining tickets go on sale June 1. Plus, don’t forget to catch The Walkmen when the band appears on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” June 5. And we would be amiss if we didn’t mention that the band has headlining dates and festival gigs slotted for the coming months as well as appearances with Florence & The Machine.
