Vikings Get Oversight

The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority has been formed to oversee construction of the recently approved, $975 million stadium project for the Minnesota Vikings.

A panel of five members to be appointed by Gov. Mark Dayton and Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak will handle details of a 30-year lease that will keep the NFL team in town and keep an eye on construction spending for the 65,000-capacity facility.

Dayton and Rybak have until mid-June to make their panel selections.
