Grizzly Bear Books Fall World Tour
Frontman Edward Droste promises that a title and art are coming soon for the Warp Records album due out on CD and vinyl Sept. 17 and digitally Sept. 18. Meanwhile, fans can pre-order the indie rock band’s new release starting today. The first track, “Sleeping Ute,” is available to purchase now. When you pre-order the album you’ll see the release is labeled “Warp229.” Grizzly Bear explains on Twitter that “it’s just our record label’s catalogue number – a placeholder until the title is announced.”
The world tour kicks off with more than three weeks of U.S. and Canadian dates, scheduled Sept. 16 in Knoxville, Tenn., through Oct. 10 in Los Angeles. Next the band heads across the pond for a European leg Oct. 17 through Nov. 5, followed by two shows in New Zealand Nov. 20-21.
A presale for select dates begins June 7. Tickets go on sale to the general public June 8.
