ZZ Top Cancels Over Safety Concerns

ZZ Top and 3 Doors Down canceled a June 9 show at Wind Creek Casino in Atmore, Ala., over concerns of a stage collapse.

ZZ Top issued a statement saying, although they’re all about the show must go on, they had to draw the line this time because of “safety concerns before the show” and that “numerous hazards were present at the venue.”

“We just had to ‘pull the plug’ for the sake of all concerned,” the band said.

3 Doors Down echoed the concerns, saying there was a “significant risk of a potential stage collapse.”

The statement does not detail the safety concerns nor suggests it was because of threatening weather.
