Jimmy Herring Has His Own Tour To Do

The Widespread Panic guitarist / Aquarium Rescue Unit founding member lines up solo dates in support of his latest album.

Jimmy Herring’s second solo effort, Subject To Change Without Notice, lands in stores Aug. 21 via Abstract Logix Records. Along with eight original songs, Herring also takes a turn at other artists’ work, covering George Harrison’s “Witihin You Without You,” Jimmy McGriff’s “Miss Poopie” and Mahavishnu Orchestra’s “Hope.”

With a solo tour scheduled to begin the day the album drops, Herring’s destinations include a few festivals such as NedFest in Nederland, Colo., the Jomeokee Music and Arts Festival in Pinnacle, N.C., MagnoliaFest in Live Oak, Fla., and the Steel Jam in Bethlehem, Pa., Other stops include an appearance with Victor Wooten.
