The Making Of ‘Quadrophenia’
Presented by NCM, Fathom Events, AEG Live and UMe, “The Who: Quadrophenia – Can You See The Real Me?” premieres as a one-night in-theater event July 24 at 8 p.m. local time nationwide. Physical copies of the film will not ship to theaters. Instead, the documentary will broadcast directly to movie houses via NCM’s Digital Broadcast Network.
The special one-night-only event will begin with a special welcoming message from Townshend.
Since its release in 1973, Quadrophenia has been acclaimed as one of The Who’s finest studio efforts. Songs such as “The Real Me,” “5:15,” “Dr. Jimmy” and “Love Reign Over Me” quickly became signature tunes for the band. Add to that the several instances throughout Quadrophenia where Who members Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, John Entwistle and Keith Moon really shine, and you have an album that sounds as fresh today as it was almost 40 years ago.
Fans attending the in-theater event can also order the “Quadrophenia – Director’s Cut” box set, along with a free t-shirt, at the special price of $99.98. The box gives you four CDs, including Townshend’s original demos, a 5.1 audio DVD, a hardback book and more.
