Promising “12 prime cuts of raw rock ’n’ roll,” the new album, titled Meat And Bone, was recorded in Benton Harbor, Mich., using Sly Stone’s “Riot Flickinger” console. Mixed in New York City, the album is being described as “straight-up grade-a Blues Explosion.” What’s more, in a world where almost every album includes a guest appearance by another artist, Meat And Bone proudly boasts “no special guests.”

Meat And Bone drops Sept. 18 through Boombox/Mom + Pop.
