Full Lineup Unveiled For 2012 Sunset Strip Music Festival

RZA and Hank III are a few of the acts that have joined the roster for August’s Sunset Strip Music Festival. Organizers have also nailed down the daily lineup for each of the participating West Hollywood venues.

The fifth edition of the festival is set for Aug. 16-18 with shows at the Sunset Strip’s Roxy Theatre, Whisky A Go-Go, Key Club and House Of Blues.

Peter Murphy, Matt Skiba, Mickey Avalon and James Ingram were also added to the lineup. Previously announced acts include Marilyn Manson, The Offspring, Steve Aoki, Bad Religion, Black Label Society, Far East Movement and De La Soul.

This year the festival is celebrating The Doors, which was the house band at the Whisky A Go-Go in the mid-1960s, with an exclusive VIP event at House of Blues Sunset Strip Aug. 16. The evening will include stories from friends of The Doors and all-star band paying tribute to the group.

The fest will once again close traffic on Sunset Boulevard between Doheny Drive and San Vicente Boulevard to host an all-day outdoor street fest Aug. 18 featuring two stages, beer gardens, an artist autograph tent, food trucks and more.

Tickets for individual venue shows Aug. 16-17 as well as select Aug. 18 shows are also available. Tickets for After Street Festival gigs, including Wax and Dumbfounded at the Viper Room and Subhuman Tour at House of Blues, require separate tickets.
