Displaying an amazing command of punctuation, Lee recently posted a message on the Mötley Crüe Facebook page, saying he’s a “down to earth” kind of guy who hates fans who approach him asking for a Kodak moment.

“Taking pictures! I hate it!”, Lee wrote. “Irritates the fuck out of me when people say … you owe it to your fans, they put you where you are, etc etc!”

Lee went on to say that when he was growing up and buying albums, he never expected his favorite bands to pose with him for photographs.

Of course, Lee never does anything without tossing in at least a spoonful of attitude. However, this time he dropped in a full eight-ounce cup.

“And to those who say … you should be grateful that people wanna take your picture maybe one day they won’t want it! … That day can’t come soon enough! BTW … I’m not here to take pictures with you, I’m here to entertain you!”

Lee also questioned why people would want him to pose with them in a photo in the first place.

“People do we really need a silly picture? … For what bragging rights? Really? … Who fucking cares! Someones not gonna believe you if ya don’t have the proof pic? … then fuck em! I’d never go up to someone that I admired and bug them for a picture!!”

Lee also gave fans a glimpse of what it’s like to be a member of the Crüe and having to suffer the admiration of fans.

“Most people never consider the ‘situation.’ That’s really important … Ya wouldn’t wanna handshake standing at the pisser in the mens bathroom next to me would ya? … And Yes that’s happened to me to … Or when your eating a nice meal with your family some rude jackass comes up and asks you for a picture! You cant even imagine what kinda crazy has happened to me.”

But there is something Lee might appreciate regarding close encounters with the fan kind. However, as he’s already mentioned, it might depend on the “situation.”

“So like I said … The fastest way to get me to leave is whip out a camera! Maybe just say hello and I’ll probably take ya home with me! Well I’d have to ask my girlfriend first! Hah!”

Guess it’s not easy being him.
