The Lowdown On Nick Lowe’s Fall Tour

Nick Lowe is leaving his band behind on his next tour, a solo acoustic headlining excursion that begins in September.

The British singer/songwriter/musician/producer kicks off the U.S. outing Sept. 18 in Albany, N.Y. After playing shows across the states including Pittsburgh, Nashville, St. Louis, Denver and West Hollywood, Lowe returns to New York Oct. 14 for the final gig of the tour in Port Washington.

He’ll also make a stop in Carrboro, N.C., Oct. 11 to play his label’s 15th anniversary party, “Yep Roc 15” at the Cat’s Cradle. Lowe’s most recent album on the label is 2011’s The Old Magic, which the Los Angeles Times calls “elegantly mature, astutely sophisticated.”
