Palace Renovation Project

The Palace of Auburn Hills in Michigan will get a facelift to its main concourse and other areas thanks to a $13 million renovation project.

Venue owner Palace Sports & Entertainment is footing the bill for the remodel that is designed to enhance the social aspect of attending an event there, including games for the NBA’s Detroit Pistons.

“We want to do whatever we can to make this an escape for our fans and thrill them,” PS&E president Dennis Mannion told the Detroit News.

Plans include new lighting and sound systems, hospitality areas, removal of 16 300-level suites to create an open-air lounge, remodeling the main concourse, Wi-Fi, digital menu boards and more, the paper said.

The work is expected to be done by the start of the Pistons’ season this fall.
