Woman, 19, Dies At Warped Tour

A 19-year-old woman collapsed near the stage at the Vans Warped Tour in Toronto Sunday. She was later pronounced dead.

The London Free Press identifies the teen as Taylor Nesseth, a resident of London, Ontario. Nesseth collapsed at the Molson Canadian Amphitheater at about 12:40 p.m., according to the LFP, which notes that it was very hot and humid Sunday and that “it’s possible a pre-existing medical condition may have contributed to her death.”

CBC News reports that after fellow fans found Nesseth unconscious, someone called 911 and attempted CPR. When the paramedics arrived, they were unable to resuscitate her.

Nesseth was transported to Toronto Western Hospital and pronounced dead, according to the Toronto Star.

The Vans Warped Tour sent out the following tweet Sunday about the incident:

“With regards to today’s events in Toronto, we will release an official statement on http://vanswarpedtour.com when we have all of the details.”

As of post time, the tour website hasn’t been updated yet.

The 2012 edition of Vans Warped Tour features Taking Back Sunday, Anti-Flag, Yellowcard, The Used, Rise Against, New Found Glory, blessthefall, Pierce The Veil, Of Mice And Men, Breathe Carolina and All Time Low.

The next tour stop is Tuesday in Darien Center, N.Y., at the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center, followed by Wednesday in Scranton, Pa., at the Toyota Pavilion At Montage Mountain. The Vans Warped Tour runs through early August.
