Fans on the East Coast are getting plenty of the J. Geils Band. With August shows scheduled for New York, Vermont and Pennsylvania, the new September additions keep the party going on the Atlantic seaboard.

Newly added shows on the schedule include Westbury, N.Y., at the NYCB Theatre At Westbury Sept. 12; Atlantic City at Tropicana Casino & Resort Sept. 15; Uncasville, Conn., at Mohegan Sun Sept. 16; Port Chester, N.Y., at Capitol Theatre Sept. 19 and Hampton Beach, N.H., at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom Sept. 22.

Sadly there will be no J. Geils in the J. Geils Band. A legal dustup between the band and guitarist John Geils’ solo label, Francesca Records, over ownership of the “J. Geils Band” name has prevented the guitarist from playing with the group. Appearing with original members Peter Wolf, Seth Justman, Danny Klein and Magic Dick will be guitarist Duke Levine and drummer Tom Arey.
