Journey To Headline Cancer Benefit

Journey tops the bill for the “One Night One Show One Cause” charity event benefiting the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center in Baltimore.
KeyArena at Seattle Center Seattle, Wash.

Hosted by Paul Reed Smith Guitars, the show is scheduled for Oct. 14 at the Model Center For The Performing Arts at Baltimore’s Lyric Opera House.

This is a case of the right band for the right cause. Journey’s monster hit “Don’t Stop Believin’” has been cited by many as inspiration when trying to overcome almost insurmountable obstacles. Of all the songs in their catalog that includes 19 Top 40 singles and 25 gold and platinum albums, you can bet that tune will be in the set list.

Since this is a charity benefit, tickets are priced a bit steeper than your average concert. Tickets go on sale July 20 with prices beginning at $75. VIP packages including premier seating and VIP pre-party access range from $250 to $1,000.

Speaking of the VIP pre-party, this year’s gathering will feature the Journey of Hope Fashion Show with Real Housewives’ (and Neal Schon companion) Michaele Salahi handling hosting duties. And be sure to bring some extra cash for the Live Guitar Auction featuring autographed guitars from many famous rockers, including Slash and Carlos Santana.
