Yawn: HoB Dallas Up For Sale

Here we go again. The House of Blues Dallas is on the market. Is it a big deal? No.

Every year or so, the Dallas Business Journal runs a story with a headline that the Dallas venue is “on the market” (this time for $18 million). Next thing you know, everybody is thinking that Live Nation, which owns the HoB chain, is exiting the market.

Not so. House of Blues has a 15-year lease on the building, built in the 1920s and formerly the White Swan Coffee processing plant. The structure itself is owned by a European fund, according to the Journal, and the last time the building was put on the market, it was listed at $18.5 million.

All that changes for HoB is who to make out the monthly lease check to.
