A$AP Mob Lawsuit
The lawsuit, filed by Anthony Montalbano July 2 in New York County Supreme Court, names all seven A$AP Mob members including Rocky, as well as Sony Music Entertainment and Fader Media among others.
Montalbano, stage manager and sound technician for Best Instrumental Rental, claims he was working at Fader Media’s Fader Fort Music Festival when, during A$AP Mob’s set, the members “shouted obscenities indicating their dissatisfaction with the microphones and damaged musical instruments and equipment that was on stage.”
The lawsuit says that when Montalbano was instructed by Fader employee Robyn Baskin to pull the equipment off the stage, “Plaintiff was then grabbed by Defendants and continuously punched in the face and head for several minutes and said Defendants hit Plaintiff in the head with a microphone.”
The stage manager sustained “serious and lasting injuries including but not limited to an open scalp wound, concussion, abrasions, lacerations and pain in his head, neck, back, knees and ribs” and that no security personnel were brought over to help him.
Three A$AP Mob members were charged with assault, according to the suit. A$AP Rocky was not charged.
Montalbano seeks compensatory and punitive damages for negligent hiring, emotional distress, assault and battery and negligence.
