Zedeck Exits CAA

David Zedeck, one of the industry’s most powerful artist reps, has exited CAA to take a high-level position at Live Nation.

Zedeck, who is based in Live Nation’s New York office, has been named executive VP and president of Global Talent and Artist Development.

He will be working closely with Madonna / U2 promoter Arthur Fogel on global touring initiatives. He is also expected to focus on acquiring global tours and executing them. Plus, he’s in charge of LN’s artist development strategy.

Zedeck, who began his career in the ’80s as an assistant to Sal Michaels at Norby Walters Associates, later became nearly synonymous as the agent for youth-oriented pop acts – namely Britney Spears, *Nsync and Backstreet Boys – at Evolution Talent Agency.

Prior to exiting CAA, he was the responsible agent for the biggest boy band in the Western world – One Direction, which Live Nation has been touring.
