Indonesian Sex Tape Singer Released

Nazril “Ariel” Irham, one of Indonesia’s biggest pop stars, has been released from prison after serving two years on a morals conviction.

In 2010, Irham was arrested after videos of him and several celebrity girlfriends appeared online.

The singer insisted the videos had been stolen and posted online without his knowledge.

He eventually became the first to be convicted for violating a new anti-pornography law passed in 2008 despite opposition from the public and some members of the government.

His sentence was three and a half years in prison, and last week he was released on parole.

It was reported that hundreds of fans assembled outside the prison to celebrate his freedom, chanting his name and singing his songs as he walked out.

Irham, who is the lead singer of the country’s most popular band, Peterpan, is 30 years old.
