New Order Arrives In Fall

New Order lands in North America for a seven-city romp beginning in early October.

Although New Order played Miami’s Ultra Music Festival earlier this year, the upcoming outing will mark the first time the band has toured the U.S. since 2005. But that’s just a mere temporal eye-blink when you consider Canadian fans have been waiting since 2001 for the band to rock the provinces.

Here’s the plan:

Oct. 5 – Oakland, Calif., Fox Theater
Oct. 7 – Los Angeles, Calif., Greek Theatre
Oct. 10 – Broomfield, Colo., 1stBank Center
Oct. 12 – Dallas, Texas, Palladium Ballroom
Oct. 18 – New York, N.Y., Roseland Ballroom
Oct. 21 – Chicago, Ill., Aragon Ballroom
Oct. 23 –Toronto, Ontario, Sony Centre For The Performing Arts

Who’s in New Order these days? The band’s lineup consists of Bernard Sumner on vocals and guitar, drummer Stephen Morris, Gillian Gilbert and Phil Cunningham on guitars and keyboards and bassist Tom Chapman.

“We’ve been having such a great time together this year, playing shows all over Europe, and we’re all really excited to be playing America again,” Sumner said. “We have so many friends and fans there we can’t wait to get back!”
