Changes: Blink-182, Passion Pit And OM
Health problems sideline tonight’s Blink-182 gig in London, Passion Pit postpones a few/keeps a few, and a skateboarding injury forces OM to postpone its upcoming August-September run.
There is no joy for London’s Blink-182 fans. The band was scheduled to play the city’s O2 Academy Brixton tonight but a nasty trio of bugs has forced the show’s cancelation.
According to the venue’s website, Mark Hoppus wasn’t exactly feeling well when the band concluded last night’s show at the venue. Doctors diagnosed the singer/guitarist as suffering from bronchitis, laryngitis and sinusitis. Needless to say, doctors told Hoppus not to perform tonight.
The O2 Academy Brixton says the date cannot be rescheduled and that ticketholders should seek refunds at points of purchase.

The band updated its status this week, posting an announcement on its website that’s one-half good news and one-half bad.
First the good news. Passion Pit sez it will appear on weekends as scheduled at festivals Lollapalooza, Osheaga and Outside Lands.
Now for the bad news. Turns out Passion Pit has postponed its weekday gigs. That means the band won’t be playing previously scheduled shows in Morrison, Colo., at Red Rocks Amphitheatre Aug. 7; Boulder’s Fox Theatre Aug. 8 and Salt Lake City at Pioneer Park Aug. 9.
Meanwhile, the band has successfully rescheduled shows originally planned for Charlotte, N.C., and Tennessee cities Nashville and Knoxville. Click here to check out the revised schedule.
You can forget about OM coming to your town next month. The band has postponed its August-September run, blaming the change of plans on a skateboarding injury suffered by drummer Emil Amos.
