Written and recorded in Berlin, Warsaw, London and the band’s hometown of Toronto, the as-yet untitled third studio album is due out later this fall on Fiction in the U.K., and Universal Republic/Casablanca in the U.S. Crystal Castles’ most recent release is 2010’s self-titled album, also known as Crystal Castles II. On Wednesday the band posted a free download of the tune “Plague.”

   

Following festival appearances in Europe and Japan, the fall tour kicks off Sept. 27 in Charlotte, N.C. The last date on the schedule is a hometown show in Toronto Nov. 4. Tickets go on sale beginning July 27.
