Toby Keith Postponement

Those of you keeping score at home will need to switch Toby Keith’s Aug. 2nd gig at Fort McCoy Army Base in Sparta, Wis., to Aug. 30. Details after the jump.

Keith’s website says the country superstar will undergo “a minor medical outpatient procedure” this week, but skimps on the details.

However, The Tennessean apparently has an inside track. Quoting a Keith representative, the Nashville newspaper reports that Keith is “having his gallbladder removed in an outpatient procedure this week.”

While Keith is postponing his Fort McCoy appearance until the end of August, the base will still host Gretchen Wilson Aug. 2, according to his website. What’s more, Wilson’s show will be free of charge. Such a deal!

Keith’s website sez tickets purchased for the Aug. 2 concert will be honored on the new dates and that the Fort McCoy gig is the only show affected. Keith’s next scheduled show – Aug. 3 at WE Fest in Detroit Lakes, Minn. – will take place as planned. Visit TobyKeith.com for more information.
