Bill Doss Dies

Bill Doss of The Olivia Tremor Control has died at 43.

While a cause of death has yet to be announced, the band’s website confirmed the death in a statement, noting, “We are devestated by the loss of our brother Bill Doss. We are at a loss for words.”

Along with friends in the early ’90s, Doss co-founded The Elephant 6 Recording Company that eventually spawned several bands in addition to the Tremor Control including The Apples In Stereo, Neutral Milk Hotel and Of Montreal, among others.
