Pitbull Back In Aussie Court

The legal stoush over Pitbull’s canceled Australian tour in 2008 – who broke the contract? – is playing out in a Sydney court.

Tour promoter Suave Productions (Jaime Fernandez and Juan Uribe) is suing for A$200,000 (US$208,638) after the rapper decided at the last minute not to turn up for three shows, claiming it paid half his fee up-front.

But Pitbull’s tour manager, Barry London, told the court Suave had not paid the full $60,000 (US$62,591) fee in time, and the Pitbull camp was concerned that slow ticket sales meant Suave had not marketed the tour properly. The case continues in August.
