Speakers Announced For Going Global

Cary Caldwell of South By Southwest and the UK’s Great Escape festival, and Greg Vegas of New York City-based International Rescue Artist Development / Cooperative Music are among delegates announced for the Going Global Music Summit.

Organised by Independent Music New Zealand, the Summit takes place in Wellington (Sept. 6), Auckland (Sept. 7-8) and Christchurch (Sept. 10).

The event includes seminars “that encourage the global exchange of ideas, techniques and trends” and showcases by NZ acts.

Other speakers include the USA’s Jesperson (Newwest Records) Brooke Black (Big Hassle) Lisa Hresko (CMJ), the UK’s Andrew Dubber who wrote the book Music in the Digital Age, and Australia’s Nick O’Byrne (Australian Independent Records Labels Association), Rene Chambers (Spotify, Aust/NZ) and Graham Ashton (Big Sound conference).
