Five Hurt In Indiana Fair Mishap

Five people were injured when a stagecoach overturned at the Indiana State Fair Aug. 12, just one day shy of the first anniversary of the stage collapse that killed seven and injured dozens more.

None of the injuries, which happened when a six-horse coach overturned making a figure-eight inside the Pepsi Coliseum, was considered life-threatening. People in the stands rushed to the floor of the arena to help the injured.

Fair spokesman Andy Klotz said the five were transported to Methodist Hospital for treatment.

WISH-TV said the coach was carrying four judges, a fair princess and the fair queen.
