Pacers’ Home Gets Upgrades

Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis has a new sound system and is getting new scoreboards.

Pacers Sports & Entertainment President Jim Morris said Thursday the $16 investment paid for by the company demonstrates Indiana Pacers owner Herb Simon’s commitment to keep the NBA team and WNBA’s Fever in Indianapolis.

The Indianapolis Star reports the new sound system already is installed in time for a concert by country singer Blake Shelton on Friday as part of the Indiana State Fair.

Midcourt video boards will measure 50 feet long and more than 21 feet tall. New video boards at either end of the arena will measure 23 feet wide by more than 10 feet tall.
