Mika’s 3-City Outing
Mika spent two years working on his third album, The Origin Of Love, scheduled for an Oct. 16 release. Traveling all over the world, the Lebanon-born singer/songwriter enlisted several of music’s major players for the DIY effort, including Pharrell Williams who appears on the album’s first single, “Celebrate,” produced by Empire Of The Sun’s Nick Littlemore.
But Mika didn’t stop with Williams and Littlemore. Other collaborators on The Origin Of Love were William Orbit, Greg Wells (Katy Perry, Adele,), FrYars, Benny Benassi and Klas Ahlund (Robyn’s Body Talk).
Now he’s taking it on the road, performing the new tunes on stage for the first time in a quick trip across the U.S.A. during the same week The Origin Of Love becomes available. The journey begins at New York City’s Webster Hall Oct. 15; plays Chicago’s Vic Theatre Oct. 18 and rolls into Los Angeles for a performance at The Fonda Oct. 21.
Non-U.S.A. shows on Mika’s current calendar include London’s Heaven Oct. 6; Amsterdam, Netherlands, at Paradiso Oct. 27.; Copenhagen, Denmark, at VEGA House Of Music Oct. 29; and Roubaix, France, at Colisee Oct. 31.
Tickets for New York, Chicago and L.A. go on sale Aug. 24. Click here for more info.
