S.D. Arena Gets Name

Officials in Sioux Falls, S.D., have approved a naming rights agreement that will see the city’s new $115 million events center become the Denny Sanford Premier Center.

Sanford Health, First Premier Bank and Premier Bankcard reportedly paid nearly $21 million for the 25-year deal.

Groundbreaking on the venue, expected to open in October 2014, is scheduled for Aug. 30.
