Craig Owens, Chiodos & Everything
Billed as “The Return Of Chiodos,” the band played on the East Coast during the weekend and will return to the road in September, playing a gig in its home state of Michigan when it rolls into The Intersection in Grand Rapids Sept. 14. The short list of dates includes stops in Indianapolis (Sept. 15), Chicago’s Riot Fest (Sept. 16), Dallas’ Firefest (Oct. 13), Houston (Oct. 14) and San Bernardino at California Metalfest (Nov. 24).
Sandwiched in between Houston and San Bernardino is the singer’s solo run, billed as “Craig Owens and Friends,” a journey that was originally scheduled for earlier this year. For this outing, Owens will play two stops in Michigan – Pontiac and Detroit – plus shows on the East Coast and in the Midwest. Slotted for intimate venues, Owens plans to perform stripped-down sets consisting of new unreleased solo material along with fan favorites.
Here’s the routing:
Oct. 25 – Pontiac, Mich., Pike Room
Oct. 26 – Detroit, Mich., Hard Rock Café
Oct. 27 – Cleveland Heights, Ohio, Grog Shop
Oct. 28 – Ithaca, N.Y., The Haunt
Oct. 30 – Cambridge, Mass., T.T. The Bear’s
Oct. 31 – West Chester, Pa., The Note
Nov. 1 – New York, N.Y., The Studio @ Webster Hall
Nov. 2 – Pittsburgh, Pa., The Altar Bar
Nov. 3 – Columbus, Ohio, The Basement
Nov. 6 – St. Louis, Mo., Fubar
Nov. 7 – Iowa City, Iowa, Blue Moose Tap House
Nov. 8 – Minneapolis, Minn., Triple Rock Social Club
Nov. 9 – Madison, Wis., The Loft
“What I’m looking forward to mostly on this run of solo dates is the intimate connection with the people who support what it is that I do and enjoy the music that I write and perform,” Owens said. “Small venues, conversations, eye contact and building relationships with my supporters is probably on the top of my list of things to do while on the road.
“So I look to smile until my cheeks hurt and laugh until I can’t laugh anymore on this upcoming run.”
