Plea Deal In Fake Indiana Fair Claim
An Indianapolis woman pleaded guilty Aug. 27 to forgery and perjury charges for trying to collect money from a relief fund set up for victims of the tragic Indiana State Fair stage rigging collapse last year.
Stephanie Murry and her aunt, Sandra Hurn, were charged with falsely submitting claims for $22,500 to a state tort relief fund and a private relief fund related to the canceled
Authories said neither woman was at that show.
Under the plea agreement, Murry must do four years of work release, complete 100 hours of community service and one year of probation after she is sentenced in October.
Charges against Hurn are said to be pending.
