Conchords Release Charity Single

Flight Of The Conchords released a new charity single to raise money for Cure Kids NZ, an organisation dedicated to finding cures for life-threatening illnesses that affect children in New Zealand.

“Feel Inside (And Stuff Like That)” was inspired by conversations Jemaine Clement and Academy Award-winner Brett Mckenzie had with school children in their hometown of Wellington.

The Conchords played the song Aug. 24 on national TV, accompanied by Black Eyed Peas producer Printz Boar and multi-platinum rapper Che Fu’s 6-year-old son. On the song’s video, the two were joined by top New Zealand names including Boh Runga, Brooke Fraser, Dave Dobbyn, Kids of 88 and Moana Maniapoto.

Meantime, Crowded House’s Neil Finn and Kimbra have signed as ambassadors for So They Can, a not-for-profit organisation active in Kenya.

They plan to visit the country soon. Through a focus on education and micro-finance initiatives, So They Can runs an orphanage, school, medical clinic, business school, teacher’s training college and sustainable farming projects.
