$300K To Repair Lolla Site

It took more money than expected to repair Chicago’s Grant Park after this year’s Lollapalooza.

The original estimate for this year was $150,000 for landscaping, but Charlie Jones of C3 said it will cost about $350,000 because of drainage issues and repairing sod in one area.

Approximately 300,000 people attended the three-day festival and rains on the second day left the park muddied.

The cost is still a bargain compared with last year when C3 spent more than $1 million to restore areas of the park.
