Guggenheim Buying Dick Clark Prod.
Guggenheim Partners, which owns The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard, is part of a group of investors that has agreed to buy Dick Clark Productions.
Other buyers in the deal include Mandalay Entertainment and Mosaic Media Investment Partners.
Mosaic was part of a consortium that took Dick Clark Productions private in 2002. The group bought the company from private equity firm RedZone Capital Management, which bought it in 2007 for $175 million.
Dick Clark Productions is known for the famed New Year’s Eve show, the Golden Globes and the American Music Awards.
It’s not a stretch to think it may also handle Billboard’s show, which saw a sobering television rating earlier this year.
