Evansville Bids Higher Than Expected
Evansville, Ind., city officials are reevaluating a plan to tear down the aging Roberts Stadium to make way for a park after contractor bids came in much higher than anticipated.
The lowest of five bids reportedly came in at about $960,000, according to WFIE-TV.
The city had set aside about $420,000 for the project. The council will discuss its options.
