The tour’s title comes from Nas’ newly released, best-selling album Life Is Good and Hill’s new “Black Rage” song which will be released this fall, presumably before the adventure begins.

Hill described the “Black Rage” song title as a contrast to the “Life Is Good” phrase.

“I use the performance platform as an opportunity to express the energy of that moment, and the intention behind it,” Hill said. “I’ve been a long standing rebel against the stale, over commoditization. As artists we have opportunity to help the public evolve, raise consciousness and awareness, teach, heal enlighten and inspire in ways the democratic process may not be able to touch. So we keep it moving.”

Nas also has something to say. However his statement was hardly as deep as Ms. Hill’s.

“This is history,” Nas said. “Better late than never. Life is good!”

The tour begins after Nas completes a string of his own dates that include Columbia, Md. (Oct. 6), Nashville (Oct. 27) and New Orleans’ Voodoo Festival (Oct. 28).
