Bisla, Chugg Set Up
A&R Worldwide Australasia
Sat Bisla’s Los Angeles-based global artist discovery and development company A&R Worldwide has gone into partnership with Australia’s Chugg Entertainment to set up an Australasian arm.
It will work in the region out of Chugg’s offices in Sydney, Auckland and Singapore.
Both companies have worked together on various projects, including the confab One Movement.
“Australasia is a burgeoning economic market with incredible talent and opportunities,” Bisla said.
Chugg added, “We have been working towards getting more involved in local artist development for years and the relationship with Sat and his team will expand our efforts and give us a global base to help develop Australian artists and bring international talent into our home markets. It a very exciting time for all of us.”
A&R Worldwide, which earlier this year set up in Germany to expand European operations, previously worked with Aussie acts including Airbourne, Missy Higgins, Sia, Wolfmother and Hungry Kids Of Hungary to get them in the U.S. marketplace.
