The Bieb Heaves

Justin Bieber’s tour kicked off in Arizona Sept. 29, and it’s already an internet hit. Bieber, unfortunately, included in his show two cases of vomiting.

Bieber’s new show moves away from the tweener theme and toward adult pop performance. USA Today reports he’s achieved his transition to manhood.

“He indeed showed he was a man at the sold-out venue,” the newspaper eported, “but it had nothing to do with his new array of urban-tinged tunes or a stage spectacle that melded the visual gee-whiz of Hollywood with the crowd-pleasing power of Broadway. And it had everything to do with throwing up.”

Called “an impressive case of show-must-go-on bravura,” Bieber vomited about an hour in during “Out of Town Girl.” He exited the stage as the dancers continued, followed by a short DJ performance. Then, at the beginning of “Beauty and the Beat,” he disappeared again, but this time the show stopped for minutes.

He fessed up upon his return.

“”It’s hard for me, you know, not feeling great and throwing up in front of a bunch of people,” he reportedly said. “Will you love me even though I’m throwing up on stage?” Shrill shrieks. “OK, I wanted to give you my best show ever, so do you mind if I finish it?”

Nonie of this made a difference to USA Today’s Marco R. della Carva.

“It’s hard to say what was more impressive, the ambitious multimedia presentation or the gutsy multidimensional performer who powered through the evening where lesser stars might have pulled up lame. What’s truly believable is that Bieber has a big future beyond his improbably successful past.”
