Taps Janick

John Janick has been named president and chief operating officer of Interscope Geffen A&M after running indie label Fueled By Ramen for 16 years.

He simultaneously served as co-president of Elektra Records, which he helped relaunch, since 2009.

Janick started Fueled by Ramen in his college dorm room, and broke out with Fall Out Boy’s Take This to Your Grave in 2003.

Janick relocates from Florida to Los Angeles and will work out of Interscope Geffen A&M offices in Santa Monica, Calif.
