Keith Richards Talks Upcoming Live Shows

We’re still waiting for an official announcement about The Rolling Stones’ first tour dates since 2007 but Keith Richards recently gave fans hope that rumored shows in London and New York just might be happening.

In August Showbiz 411 reported that “inside sources” said the Stones would take the stage in November at The O2 London, followed by two nights at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., in December.

Richards didn’t mention any specific dates but told Q magazine over the weekend that the band was planning to play England’s capital city as well as the Big Apple.

“We’ve got some shows in London, I believe, and in New York, but I really can’t talk about any of that at the moment,” he said Oct. 6. “They’ve put the gag on me on this. You can hint!”

The guitarist told Q the band was a week into a month of rehearsals. Richards said he and his bandmates were having a great time, explaining that after two days of playing together once again, “a certain demon energy takes over.”

Mick Jagger mentioned the studio in a tweet in August. He wrote that he “had fun in the Paris studio this week” along with a photo of the frontman and his guitar.
