Matisyahu Broadens ‘Festival Of Lights’

No longer an annual East Coast-centric event, Matisyahu is taking his annual “Festival Of Lights” tour to California for a single night and is planning a few acoustic gigs as well as full-band shows. He’ll play San Francisco first before heading east.

Following his current tour and presenting a career-spanning look into his catalog, Matisyahu begins his “Festival Of Lights” with an acoustic performance at San Fran’s Nob Hill Masonic Center. Atlanta is next with the reggae musician crossing the country in 48 hours to play the Gwinnett Center For The Performing Arts.

Of the seven dates, four will be acoustic while three will feature him performing with his backing band, Brooklyn’s The Dub Trio. Individually, each show is being described as a “custom-built live experience.”

Here’s the schedule:

Dec. 8 – San Francisco, Calif., Nob Hill Masonic Center
Dec. 10 – Duluth, Ga., P.A.C. @ Gwinnett Center
Dec. 11 – Stroudsburg, Pa., Sherman Theater
Dec. 12 – Philadelphia, Pa., Electric Factory
Dec. 13 – Washington, D.C., 9:30 Club
Dec. 15 – New York, N.Y., Terminal 5
